About Us...
We look forward to opportunities to work together with consultants, clients, and stakeholders as we bring skills and experience to a project. We appreciate the chance to form new relationships as much as we enjoy working again with established colleagues.
The firm is managed by professionals with extensive international consulting experience.
DevPar has formal systems in place for accounting, project management, quality control, and statistical analysis. Our administrative staff have backgrounds in accounting, human resource management, and office management. We are federally incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act and the firm is privately owned by our directors.

Finally, we work to maintain relationships with organizations and businesses with similar features to those of typical beneficiary clients; thus, we can offer a twinning 'partnership' for development.
Our History...
DevPar was established in 1992 by consultants with strong credentials in international development work. The intention was to offer services by forming consortia of experts, including developed market counterparts and national consulting firms, to share knowledge, experience, systems, and procedures.
Initially focused on capital and financial market development, the range of work has extended to public sector financial management, as well as the conduct of research, feasibility studies, monitoring, evaluations, and training.
These projects have taken us around the world – mainly in developing countries and economies-in-transition. We collaborate with a large network of professional firms and consultants as called for by project requirements. We have worked for a wide range of international institutions and bilateral agencies.

Nancy Fairweather

Our President, Nancy Fairweather, earned her Bachelor of Arts, with an Economics major, from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She has served as Head of Administration and Finance at the firm for over fifteen years, and as a Director for over ten years. Nancy has specialized in the application of quality control over project progress and reporting.

Henry Knight
Chairman

Our Chairman, Henry Knight, is a university graduate, a Chartered Professional Accountant (Chartered Accountant), a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Canada,
a former Director of the Canadian Association of Independent Development Professionals (CAIDP), and a former partner of Coopers & Lybrand (C&L) Canada.
At C&L he led consulting assignments in financial markets both in Canada and in developing countries. Since DevPar's inception, he has led many of its international consulting projects.

Judith Knight

Judy Knight attended on many country missions in Asia and Africa. She has more recently been a strategic advisor as well as Secretary-Treasurer to the Board. Judy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bishops University in Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada.

Peter Knight
HR Advisor

Peter Knight actively consulted for DevPar in Africa in our early years.
He has a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Guelph and has two Bachelors' degrees- in Sociology and in Education. His background in professional recruiting and education in Canada provides helpful experience to advise the Board on Human Resource management.
