To conduct an evaluation of ten projects associated with strengthening of financial sector in Romania.
The projects related to the establishment of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the Development Bank, the Loan Guarantee Fund, a Mortgage Guarantee Fund proposal and a Microfinance proposal.
The Microfinance project was for expanding an existing pilot project to increase the number of outlets through which lending could take place.
Recommendations were made to expand the project further in order to achieve self-sufficiency for the overall project.
