To conduct an operational review of a project that appeared to be behind schedule.
Assessed causes for the delays and determined what action should be taken by the executing agency and/or CIDA.
The project sought to provide funding and Technical Assistance to opportunities
to remove government obstacles to private sector development. In many instances, this meant altering legislation, expediting the issuance of permits and setting up new processes.
The project itself was making good progress, but the processes for reporting and approvals needed to be clarified and expedited.
